Future-Proof Showcase
Featuring new upgrades and improvements, the Observatory Z ARGB is the latest in our flagship range. This premium PC case offers a range of features that are innovative and easy to use, as well as creating a versatile chassis that is ready for future technology. Plus, with its integrated ARGB fans and cleverly curated interior design, this is the perfect chassis for hardware enthusiasts and ARGB lovers.
Classic Observatory Design
An excellent choice for showcasing your high-end hardware, the Observatory Z ARGB features a tempered glass side panel, with a quick-release mechanism that allows you easy access to the interior. On this particular model, the front panel has been manufactured from 4mm tempered glass, with side mesh ventilation elevating from the framework. This clever design allows for ample airflow whilst looking sleek and stylish.
Across the chassis, there are metal mesh dust covers to promote airflow, in addition to the four integrated Umbra Void ARGB PWM 120mm fans. These fans have adjustable speeds, allowing you to boost up to 1500RPM during intensive workloads. Their curved fan blades make them efficient whilst the hydraulic bearing increases the longevity of the fan.
Adding to the ample airflow these fans create, there is support for additional fans. On the rear panel, you can install a single 120mm or 140mm fan which could alternatively be a radiator of the same size. Upon the roof, your options include three 120mm fans, two 140mm fans, or a radiator that can be 360mm, 280mm, or 240mm long. With the front panel, you have even more flexibility. The standard options of 120mm or 140mm fans exist, which equally support a radiator of the corresponding size. Alternatively, you can mount two 200mm fans on the front panel, for a showstopping effect. These mounts also accommodate up to a 420mm radiator.
With so many options for fans and radiators, the Observatory Z would be excellent for custom water cooling as well as harnessing the natural airflow. CPU coolers up to 180mm tall can be utilised, which covers most of the models currently available.
Amazing Hardware Support
With seven expansion slots and three extras included on an optional bracket, the Observatory Z has a carefully curated interior with ample support for hardware. Able to host up to an E-ATX motherboard, there truly are no limits. The optional bracket is for vertically mounting your GPU, which can be up to 380mm in length and use three slots. Many popular GPUs fit these parameters, allowing you amazing flexibility when it comes to choosing your graphics hardware. Plus, there is also a support bracket to prevent longer or heavier cards from sagging.
As part of its innovative features, the PSU shroud opens from the rear panel for ease of access. This spacious shroud accommodates power supplies up to 200mm in length, as well as supporting a number of storage drives. In this area, you can install either two 2.5” SSDs or two 3.5” HDDs. Furthering your storage capacity, the back plate panel behind the motherboard can be removed and more storage can be installed here. This can host either three 2.5” SSDs or two 3.5” HDDs.
Sleek Interior and ARGB Lighting
With its all-black interior, the Observatory Z is the perfect canvas for ARGB lighting, hardware with bold aesthetics, or colour co-ordinated cables. Keeping the interior tidy and a true showcase, there is a hidden cable management section behind the main chamber. Featuring three Velcro strips, this area offers 30mm of space for neatly maintaining cables and feeding them directly to the motherboard. The I/O panel is directly above this section, including a USB 3.1, two USB 3.0, two USB 2.0, and HD audio.
As well as impressive cooling performance, the Umbra Void Fans provide a vivid light show. The centre ring features an infinity mirror effect for a sensational glow. Utilising ARGB lighting, each LED can be customised with the Umbra ARGB controller, with a downloadable software. Alternatively, ARGB lighting can be set via a compatible software if connected to the motherboard’s 3-pin 5V ARGB header.
